Wisconsin Worksite Wellness Summit

On April 12^th, Be Well Barron County, Lakeview Medical Center, and the Safe and Stable Families Coalition were proud to host the Wisconsin Worksite Wellness summit at WITC in Rice Lake.  The workshop was lead by john Morgan, from the Wisconsin Department of Health services.  This workshop was available to all businesses in and around Barron County, who were interested in adding or strengthening  worksite wellness programs in their business.  John introduced us to the worksite wellness tool kit, which all the participants received.  This tool kit is a handy book full of information; from how to get a worksite wellness program started, to how to evaluate your program.  This workshop was also a great networking opportunity for businesses in the area to talk about their wellness programs and some of the successes and weaknesses of their programs.  We hope to encourage businesses to follow up on things that they learned from the workshop, so we plan to send out monthly newsletters with new worksite wellness tips.  If you would like more information about worksite wellness, feel free to contact any of the Be Well Barron county members.
