Worksite Wellness Resources

Be Well Barron County works with many local partners to create positive work environments for employees. Here are a few resources we have found helpful!

      • The Wisconsin Worksite Wellness Toolkit is a tool to assist worksites with implementing strategies that have been proven to be effective.  The kit provides information to implement a broad range of strategies or programming: some will require very little or no resources while other strategies may require considerable resources.  The kit shows you ways to get started and make a difference in the health of your employees, regardless of the size of your worksite and its available resources.
  • Worksite Wellness Training Slides 2013 includes information on worksite wellness and a “How-To Guide”for the the 2010 Worksite Wellness Resource Kit.
  • is New York’s Department of Health website that discusses worksite wellness.
  • Lakeview Medical Center 2012-2013 Operating Plan is a template your worksite can use to implement a worksite wellness plan.
  • Advancing Worksite Wellness in Hennepin County. As part of the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department, this program offers a wide array of low- and no-cost services and resources to help employers promote healthy worksites and employees. See the Worksites Venue Fact Sheet for more information.
  • Eat Well Work Well is a Minnesota coalition that strives to help employers make eating well at work the easiest choice for their employees. Employers have a unique opportunity to influence the health of their employees. Most working individuals eat at least one meal or snack at work every day. Many times this food comes from catered meetings, vending machines, candy dishes or other sources that are supplied by the company, organization or employees. This makes the workplace an ideal setting to influence healthier food choices through adopting worksite policies, providing healthier options, leading by example, working with vendors and more
  • WELCOA is the cornerstone of the Wellness Council of America  “Well Workplace” Awards process. This innovative initiative recognizes quality and excellence in worksite health promotion. Driven by a pre-defined set of worksite wellness criteria, organizations of all kinds compete to be recognized as one of America’s Healthiest Companies. If your organization is looking to compete for national recognition, then we encourage you to consider the Well Workplace Awards initiative.  A “Well Workplace” is an organization fully embracing its responsibility for maximizing the health and well-being of its employees. In a Well Workplace Award winning organization, it is evident that employee wellness has become part of the overall business strategy. To be sure, in a Well Workplace Award winning organization, the vision of protecting and enhancing the health and well-being of each and every employee becomes part of the very fabric of the organization—not something extraneous and peripheral to the core business functions.
